Will Ferrell is such a funny guy who plays Detective Allen Gamble and Mark Wahlberg is a true straight rising action stars who portrayed Detective Terry Hoitz, together in their first movie collaboration, their characters are out in contest with the stars of their police department which is the tandem of Samuel Jackson ( Highsmith) and Dwayne The Rock Johnson (Danson). They must prove to themselves and to the entire department that they too, could become crime-buster-superstars not just headaches to Captain Mauch (Michael Keaton).
As the movie progresses, it is said to be a clear tribute to the Martin and Lewis movies in which Ferrel takes the role of funnyman Jerry Lewis while Wahlberg got the straight role of Dean Martin. Based on portraying the Lewis and Martin comedic acts, the film is out to entertain the fans and be relived with the classic American comedy acts from the legendary duo of the early 50’s. Come to think the films from Rush Hour and Bad Boys series and here’s The Other Guys that could equal them in intensity in humor and action as seen in those hit films.
